Real Time HD Editing in Adobe Premiere


Typical Workflow

Since Aspect HD simply plugs into Adobe Premiere, the workflow has not changed from typical editing sessions. But there are a few things to be aware of as you work from camera footage to final product.

Capture: Aspect HD captures directly from HDV high-definition
video camcorders over the IEEE 1394 port on the PC.
Examples include the JY-HD10U and GR-HD1 camcorders from
JVC. During this process, the MPEG2 transport stream
(MPEG2-TS) format is converted to CineForm¡¯s High Definition
(CFHD) format. MPEG2-TS formats are very hard for computers to edit because of their compression and GOP structures. CFHD is designed from the ground up to be a highly efficient, yet visually lossless editing format, allowing the CineForm HD video engine to provide real-time performance and excellent visual quality.

Edit: Editing is done in Adobe Premiere using CineForm¡¯s high-quality HD transitions and effects both for performance and quality.
Since these transitions and effects are designed for
HD content from the ground up, the end result is a much higher-quality production.



Output: Finally, output can be to a variety of formats?both standard definition and high definition. For example, some will want to output to a standard definition DVD format, others will output to a high-definition Windows Media 9 format. The output format is a decision each user makes based on business decisions.
